The diversity of crafts, the richness of its textiles and abundance of nature ensure that there is something for everyone here; you simply cannot leave empty handed. Souvenirs, beautiful furniture for your home, opulent fabrics and embroidery, crafts like leather, metal and pottery as well as gems and jewellery; you name and Rajasthan has it.

Different styles of paintings including miniature, Pichwai and Phad and with several schools propagated by the different princely kingdoms, are collectors items. Uncut as well as polished gems like Ruby, Emerald, Garnets, Agate, Amethyst, Topaz, Lapis lazuli and Carnelian can be purchased in Rajasthan at reasonable prices. Jewellery inn gold and platinum set in traditional royal styles of Rajasthan are major purchases. Some of the popular traditional styles are Thewa, Kundan and Minakari.  Besides the precious jewellery, silver accessories are also very popular.

Rajasthan is also known for terracotta and woven rugs and carpets. While nearly each city has certain specialties, all major cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Bikaner have both traditional style bazaars as well as modern shopping centers beside government run emporia where all products are available. Alwar is famous for paper thin kagji pottery, Shekhawati for carved chairs and Jaipur for gems and jewellery.
