Ranthambhore Jungle Safari or Jeep Safari

Sambar Deer, Ranthambhore ParkRanthambhore was the private hunting reserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, before it became the place for tiger conservation. Tigers lounge about here in their natural habitat and do not seemed to be bothered by the visitors.


Ranthambhore is a romantic and popular destination. A jeep safari is the most convenient and also fun way to explore Ranthambhore. As it is situated between the Aravali and Vindhya mountains, the terrain here involves hills and dirt tracks, besides lakes. A drive through to dense forest to sight the animals is a memorable experience.


The summer and winter timings of the Jeep Safaris at Ranthambore National Park are


Winter Timings:

Entry Exit
Morning Safari: 0730 hrs 1030 hrs
Evening Safari: 1500 hrs 1730 hrs

Summer Timings:

Entry Exit
Morning Safari: 0630 hrs 0930 hrs
Evening Safari: 1600 hrs 1830 hrs

The safari times at Ranthambhore National Park may be modified depending on the prevailing weather conditions. Vehicles have to obtain prior permission to enter the Ranthambhore National Park. Inside the wildlife reserve Ranthambhore, all vehicles have to follow a fixed route and must leave the park in the evening by 6:30 p.m.
