Rohetgarh Fort

Rohetgarh FortRohet Garh is a delightful destination and a heritage hotel that is favoured by celebrities for its charming architecture, personalized service and activities like horse riding and safaris.

Rohet Garh is a 375 year old fortified desert home of the descendants of the Rathores and lies on the banks of a small lake teeming with birdlife, just south of Jodhpur. The family that owns and manages the place lives here and personally looks after the needs of its guests.  Painted gates lead to a low lying building that has rooms as well as a wildlife camp.

Rohet Garh is a quiet place surrounded by the scrublands of the Great Thar Desert and is an excellent place to sunbathe, rest and rejuvenate. Catch up with your reading, take a bicycle ride, and enjoy horse riding on finest Marwar horses or take a safari into the desert. The rooms have been recently upgraded and overlooking either the garden or the lake, offer beautiful views. All modern conveniences are available.

An open sided restaurant overlooking the pool serves good Continental and Indian cuisine. A cozy lounge is an excellent place to enjoy card and chess games with drinks. Extravagant music and dance performances are organized inn the evening to accompany the meals. A dining terrace, picnics to take along on safaris as well as in-room dining, all the options are available.

Nearby sightseeing includes the gardens at Mandore, temples at Osian, the Kumbhalgarh Fort and the Jain Temples at Ranakpur, apart from the historic city of Jodhpur.
